My Home Try-On Kit from Warby Parker Eyeglasses

Experiment in online shopping – eyeglasses! Warby Parker has stylish frames and the prices beat my optician’s office. For example – $125 for single vision frames compared to over $300. So this seems to be a worthwhile experiment, don’t you think?

Free Home Try-On

Warby Parker will ship you five frames free for a brief at home try-on session. I had trouble picking and actually did TWO home try-ons. Here you see the first batch.

Tweet for Help

None of these frames were winners, but with Warby Parker’s support on Twitter, I got some help. Tweet using #WarbyHomeTryOn and you’ll get the attention of @WarbyParkerHelp, who suggested I try a child’s frame. Which I’ve done before, haha!

Finally I selected a frame called Rose, and ordered it in two colorways – one for my reading script and one for my computer script. Yes, I should just wear contacts – but I hate sticking fingers in my eyes so glasses it is.

Frames are on their way! I’ll let you know how this experiment turns out.
